Celebrating & Styling Eid

We’re days away from being able to say ‘Eid Mubarak’ and we can’t wait! This year is all about getting together with family and friends and celebrating the return of treasured traditions. After a year spent mainly inside, we predict your 2021 Eid looks will be epic.

If you still haven’t decided what to wear, rediscover the joy of dressing up with our Eid squad and get set to celebrate in style ...

Can a look get lovelier? Competing with the blossom (and winning) @basma_k Eid outfits are a total breath of fresh air. We’re suckers for spring tones and her expert mix of mint green & blush pink is next level. Oh, and don’t even get us started on how good the blazer looks! Throwing a blazer over anything earns you major style points in our book and over a flowing maxi dress? So chic.

If any celebration called for looks that sparked joy, it’s Eid.

How are you celebrating Eid this year?

I will be spending my time enjoying delicious food with close family and friends in my mum’s garden party she hosts every year.

What are you planning on wearing for Eid this year?

I will be wearing an Abaya which is a traditional Islamic dress for the morning prayer at the mosque. Second outfit will be a my cream midi dress with polka dots paired with mint green blazer and a pair of sandals (weather permitting!)

Looking this good is a family affair. @mubnaima can we join your squad?! These casual spring time looks are giving us serious Powerpuff Girls energy and we’re living for it. A smart casual dress code for family time during the day that can be amped up for evening feasting is the ideal option. When it comes to formal wear paying attention to those extra details like feather trims, patterns and frills galore is key. Colour coordinate your hijab with other accessories for a final touch of je ne sais quoi and you’re ready to celebrate in style.

How are you celebrating Eid this year?

There is a lot to be thankful for this year, although many have sadly lost loved ones. We as a nation have learned to cherish our families more than ever. This Eid will be a family celebration like no other! Lots of food and fun for the kids, but mainly just spending it with my loved ones.

What are you going to wear?

With every Eid outfit I always start with a colour scheme. This year I’ve chosen pastel shades which I’m loving right now. Something flowy with fun extras (maybe some feathers) and different textures.

Guys, let @youssefesawy show you how Eid am-to-pm style is done. Keeping it casual (for now) in chinos, basic tee and overshirt Youssef has nailed his day time look. Prioritising comfort is key when spending time with family and entertaining the kids but when evening comes around it’s a whole other story. Time to suit up! Opt for a tweed suit for texture, muscle fit turtleneck and smart loafers for stepping out in style. If celebrating with mates is on the cards opt for a more playful printed shirt option and trainers.

How are you celebrating Eid this year?

I will celebrate it with my little family. We will go to the park, play with our daughter and have some good food and drinks.

What are you planning on wearing for Eid this year?

I’m planning to wear more casual looks when we are enjoying family time and go for a smarter look for enjoying meals out all together.

Break the colourful mould and stand out in monochrome tones this Eid. Black and white is the ultimate occasion colour palette, statement yet classic, you really can’t go wrong. Get the whole family involved for an entrance to remember. Inject pops of colour through your accessories if you want or make it a whole monochrome moment with black hijab and heels with luxe gold detailing.

How are you celebrating Eid this year?

Eid is a time of togetherness & spending time with our loved ones. We start the day with a shower and then get changed into new clothes which is a tradition. We follow that with an  Eid prayer, a big family breakfast, opening presents and visiting family to exchange gifts and eat more good (making up for 30 days of fasting!)

What are you going to wear?

As part of our Eid tradition and customs, we're encouraged to wear our best clothing & to smell good. I'll be wearing a beautiful maxi gown dress, some matching jewellery, shoes and a bag to compliment the outfit.
