We’re forever trying to nail the art of getting the perfect Insta pic and while pose, outfit and caption all important, there’s one thing that we sometimes overlook – the background. Your outfit might be fire but if what’s going on behind you is a bit of a mess, those likes won’t come rolling in. Don’t worry, you don’t have to go searching far and wide to find the dream location, these are right on your doorstep…
They say horizontal stripes are unflattering, but when it comes to a picture perfect backdrop we couldn’t disagree more. Add an industrial feel to your feed and work it in front of a garage door. Let a bright outfit pop in front of a plain door or if your outfit is monochrome, keep an eye out for a more colourful one.

If you’re a babe about town then hit the streets to take your next snap. Get some movement into your shot by crossing the road, or add a bike into the mix (extra points if it matches your accessories). Remember to stay street smart and watch out for those cars!
