#ImWearingRI | Airport style

Hands up if you’ve been mentally planning holiday outfits since the flights were booked? Same! And while lunch hours are spent making moodboards, one outfit we never seem to plan for is our airport get-up. Whether you’ve got a weekend city break planned or something more long haul to warmer climes - your airport look matters. Comfort is always key, but that doesn’t mean you have to turn up in a pair of old pyjamas (we would if we could.) If you need a little inspiration, look no further. These guys show us how to nail airport styling, so the only thing you’ll need to worry about is remembering your passport…

Womens

No matter how early you are, you always end up running round the airport, right? From a huge check-in queue to accidentally spending too much time in duty free, trainers are a must-wear! Just add utility trousers and a white tee.

Are you even going on holiday if you don’t get up at 4am? Make the get-up even easier with an oversized denim shirt and culottes, it’s throw-on-and-go but still super cute. Wear with sliders and a cross body bag for your essentials.

What’s the first thing you do when you get off the plane? Head to the bar! After getting your suitcase, of course. A maxi dress and trainers is the perfect duo to take you from security to sangria! And in case you didn’t know, we’re still obsessed with animal print.

Planning on exploring as soon as you’ve landed? A denim playsuit will be your go-to look, meaning you can skip hotel check-in and head straight for the tour bus. Just add sunnies, chunky white trainers and a matching bag, perfect for stashing SPF.

Mens

Wearing shorts to the airport is just one less thing to pack surely? Wrong. Plane air con is nobody’s friend. Play it safe with a colour block sweat and jeans and swap the sweat for a tee when you land. Trust us on this one.

Tracksuits are a long haul flight’s best friend. (That and a portable charger.) Wear with a stripe tee and track jacket and add a tan rucksack for your headphones, book and passport.  Flight mode, is well and truly on.

Kids

Flying with the kids? Keep them cosy and cute with a cruise print tracksuit. This pink one definitely gets our vote and comes with a matching tropical print backpack for all those in-flight distractions! She’ll love it.

When it comes to airport dressing, layering is key. You can’t go wrong with jeans and a tee, right? Layer under an animal print jacket and wear with sandals. Go one better and match with the whole tribe. Selfies incoming!

The best part of flying is the films, right? Make sure he’s dressed for a movie marathon with a comfy tracksuit and sock runner trainers. So all you need to worry about is plying him with snacks!
