PASTEL NEONS
Neons for summer, hardly groundbreaking, right? Wrong. Highlighter shades may not be your thing, but pastel neons are the ultimate nod to the colour palette of summer. Opt for a neon oversized tee, layered over a long sleeve white top when the sun goes down or if you’re not ready to make that kind of statement, neon accessories will be your go-to for festival season, think socks with a neon trim and bucket hats with bright logos.
DARK FLORALS
Florals have always been a solid choice for summer. But this season, we’ve gone over to the dark side. If all black outfits are your signature, adding florals to the mix is the grunge update your holiday wardrobe never knew it needed. Black jeans and a black floral logo tee is going to be your go-to for LA-style nights. Just add a pair of white sneakers and coloured lens shades.
FRESH PRINTS
It wouldn’t be Island Heat without some palm prints thrown in, right? As well as florals, this summer is going to be all about fresh prints. Think animal print shirts and reversible print bucket hats, palm print shorts and dark tropical prints that give a nod to Island life as we know it. Layer under a white denim jacket and chino shorts or keep it casual with an oversized vest and round sunglasses.
THE SUIT
Last but by no means least, the pink suit needs to be one of your holiday looks – if you dare. Bringing all kinds of heat, hot pink and black might just be your new favourite colour combo. A slogan black tee and trainers is the only way to finish off a look this bold. Just add swag.
