  • 50ml Aperol
  • 25ml soda
  • Plenty of ice
  • An orange slice

The Mojito

Our vibe for this summer's cocktail and dress pairings: easy, classic and oh-so-summery. Achieve the look in lime-green dresses accessorised with lime-flavoured cocktails. Easy peasy.

Ingredients:

  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • ½ medium lime, cut into 3 wedges, divided
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes, or as needed
  • 1 ½ fluid ounces white rum
  • ½ cup club soda, or as needed

Method:

  • Add the mint leaves and one lime wedge into a sturdy glass and crush them together using a muddler (aka, a fancy stick that bartenders use).
  • Add the remaining lime wedges and 2 tablespoons of sugar, and muddle again to release the lime juice. Don't strain the mixture!
  • Fill the glass almost to the top with ice and then pour in the rum. Fill the rest of the glass with club soda.
  • Stir, taste and add more sugar if needed.
